We're headed to San Marcos!
In August 2026, Young Republicans from across the Lone Star State will gather in San Marcos for a weekend focused on strengthening the future of the conservative movement.
The 2026 convention takes place at a uniquely historic moment. As the United States commemorates 250 years of independence and Texas marks 190 years since declaring its own, this year’s gathering carries added significance. The responsibility to preserve the principles of liberty, limited government, and strong communities now falls to the next generation of leaders.
San Marcos provides an ideal setting for collaboration, strategy, and connection as we prepare for the upcoming November election. Attendees will hear from influential leaders, build meaningful relationships, and help shape the direction of Texas’ future.
The Convention
The Convention serves as the official business meeting of the Texas Young Republican Federation. Delegates from across the state will convene to conduct organizational business, discuss priorities for the coming year, and elect federation officers.
Officers to be elected include Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Club Development Director.
Only qualified members of our federated clubs are eligible to run as an officer.
The Gala
The Gala serves as the signature evening event of the weekend, centered on the theme “Our Enduring Legacy of Liberty.” As America marks 250 years of independence and Texas commemorates 190 years since declaring its own, the evening reflects on the principles of self-government, individual freedom, and civic responsibility that continue to guide both our state and our nation.
Guests will enjoy a formal dinner and open bar while hearing from a distinguished lineup of speakers who will speak to the legacy we have inherited and the responsibility we carry forward. The evening will also feature the swearing-in of the federation’s newly elected officers.
